High School Startup Challenge
Graduates pitch real business concepts. The top ten present to investors, competing for Best Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
30 Apr – 12 Jul

One night in Calabar where the class of 2026 walks the red carpet — and a whole season of work finally gets its crown.

Red carpet, three-course dinner, the crowning and the awards. Grab your ticket, then bring your photo into the gallery — every picture on the wall was taken by someone who was there.
Straight Outta High School is the season that carries secondary school graduates from their last exam to whatever comes next — a business pitch, a football final, a community project, and one very good night in a very good suit.
Since the first edition, more than ten thousand young people have come through it. They leave with certificates, mentors, trophies, and photographs their children will one day scroll past in disbelief.
The 2026 theme, Aura and Glamour, is a straight instruction: step into the whole of your potential, and light something up with it.
Graduates pick a lane — the startup challenge, the football tournament, or the Prom King & Queen contest.
Camp tasks, training and mentorship build real skills and a camp score that carries into the final night.
It builds to Urban Prom night — then winners lead the Pet Projects that put something back into Calabar.
Every strand runs on its own calendar and feeds the same finale. Pick one, or run the whole season.

School against school for trophies, medals and a full year of bragging rights.

The headline night. Red carpet, three-course dinner, the Prom King & Queen crowning, the awards ceremony, a talk show, a raffle draw, live art, and the soft launch of Teens Chronicles Magazine.

The official after-party for the top schools. Celebrities, live music, games, and no dress code worth mentioning.

Practical sessions on personal development, leadership, networking and career readiness. Every participant is certified on completion.

Winners lead the giving back: alms for street children and orphanages, back-to-school materials and fees, and a 3km walk against drug abuse.

Registration is free. Before the night, contestants go through hands-on training in modelling, IQ, leadership and talent grooming, completing tasks that build a camp score. On stage, the judges look for three things.
The final score combines the preliminary camp performance with the main event. Two titles are given.
The ones who walked the carpet before you, owned the stage, and set the standard the 2026 class is chasing.

Captions carry the year and title only — send the winners’ names and schools and they go straight in.

I walked in shy about my pitch. I walked out with a business plan and three mentors.
The structure behind the fun is what sold me. My daughter came home a leader.
The Back-to-School Pet Project reached hundreds of children in our community. That part is real.

Tickets are going through getticket.ng. If you are already coming, bring your photo into the gallery on the night — the wall is built out of what you send.
